How does Select compare to our Medium and Petite sizes?
Select carries the largest bloom of our three sunflower sizes, giving it real standalone presence as a statement focal flower. It's the strongest choice whenever a design wants sunflowers to be the clear visual anchor rather than one flower among several. That real, specific detail is part of what makes this variety a deliberate choice rather than an interchangeable one.
Why does Sunflower open fully rather than staying in bud form?
Sunflowers are bred to open into a fully flat bloom, giving them their iconic, sun-like appearance rather than a cupped or layered shape. At Select's larger scale, that fully open bloom carries even more visual weight than our smaller sizes. Keeping the water clean and recutting the stem regularly also supports it through that full window.
Who tends to choose Sunflower Select?
Florists and event planners use it when a design needs one dramatic, oversized bloom rather than several smaller flowers. It's a strong choice for large installations where scale matters as much as color. Either way, its dependable character makes it a versatile fit across many different arrangement styles.
