How does Tibet Rose compare to our other white varieties?

Of the whites we grow, Tibet Rose has the lowest petal count and narrowest bud diameter, giving it the most classic, traditional rose silhouette of the group. White Mondial Rose carries a bit more fullness, while White Vendela Rose is the fullest of the three. If a design calls for a clean, traditional white rose shape rather than a fuller, more layered one, Tibet is usually the right pick.

Why does it arrive looking tighter than expected?

Like every fresh-cut rose in our catalog, Tibet Rose ships with its outer guard petals intact. This is completely normal and not a defect, gently removing those outer petals once the rose arrives reveals the fuller bloom underneath. Because Tibet already has a more compact structure, the change after removing the guard petals is subtler than on a fuller variety, but still noticeable.

How long does Tibet Rose last?

Farm-direct from Ecuador, Tibet Rose typically holds for 14 to 21 days in the vase with fresh water and a recut every few days, well past the shorter vase life common with roses already several days into a longer distribution chain. Keeping the water clean matters especially on a white variety, since any discoloration in the water is more visible through pale petals. Recutting the stem every few days also helps it hold its clean, classic shape for the full window.

Who tends to choose Tibet Rose?

Florists reach for it when a design calls for a clean, traditional white rose shape, especially for bridal work that wants a classic look rather than a fuller, garden-style bloom. Event planners also favor it for formal events where a simple, elegant white fits the tone. Its compact size also makes it a practical option for boutonnieres and other small-scale detail work.
